Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (AACCUP Level II Accredited)

The program develops professionals that apply the basic principles of science in conjunction with mathematical and

computational tools to solve problems associated with developing and sustaining civilized life on our planet. Civil

Engineering is one of the broader of engineering disciplines both in terms of the range of problems that fall within

its preview and in the range of knowledge required to solve those problems. Civil Engineering works are generally

one-of-a-kind projects; they are often grand in scale; and they usually require cooperation among professionals of

varied disciplines. Some of the most common examples of Civil Engineering works include bridges, buildings, dams,

airports, port and harbors, highways, tunnels, towers and water distribution systems.


Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (AACCUP Level II Accredited)

The program prepares the student to join a profession that concerns itself with mechanical design, energy

conversion, fuel and combustion technologies, heat transfer, materials, noise control and acoustics, manufacturing

processes, rail transportation, automatic control, product safety and reliability, solar energy and technological

impacts to society. This is a broad based curriculum that emphasizes the fundamental knowledge and skills of

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (AACCUP Level II Accredited)

The field of Electrical Engineering deals with the generation, transmission, distribution and utilization of electricity. It

also deals with the design, operation and protection, maintenance and economics of electrical systems with

emphasis on ethical values to harness economically and safely the materials, and forces of nature for the benefit of

society and the environment.

Chemical Engineering is a profession that involves the conceptualization, development, design, improvement and

application of safe, healthy, ethical and economic ways of utilizing materials and energy in unit processes and

operations for the benefit of society and the environment through the knowledge of mathematics, chemistry,

Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering

The program deals with the application of mathematics, natural and applied sciences, humanities and social

sciences in mineral deposit assessment; mine feasibility study; mine design, development and construction;

management of mining operations, environmental protection and associated activities and processes; and mine

progressive rehabilitation, closure and decommissioning to harness mineral resources safely and economically for

the social benefit of the country.


Bachelor of Science in Geodetic Engineering 

The Geodetic Engineering curriculum is designed to provide the students with an education in the fundamentals of

geodetic engineering that will allow them to be immediately competitive in industry or in graduate work while

providing the best opportunity for achieving full potential. A Geodetic Engineering graduate is expected to be able to

execute control surveys; mineral, hydrographic, and topographic surveys; photogrammetric surveys; gravimetric

surveys; and astronomical observations. In the view of the comprehensive training, opportunities after graduation

are very great and one is unlikely to find difficulty looking for work.
