BU University Library Introduces BU-iLib

To gives its users a more customized, easier and faster access to BU libraries’ resources and collection, the University Library System has come up with an in-house developed integrated library system called BU-iLib.

BU-iLib which stands for Bicol University-Integrated Library System was initially an undergraduate thesis of students from the Computer Science Department of BU College of Science. The system was later on developed to replace Maelisa, a commercially available library software, which was previously used by the library. One of the salient features of BU-iLib is the customized online-public access catalog which is now being used at the University Library.

The system is undergoing continuous updating and monitoring for future improvement so users are encouraged to report to the librarian any feedbacks in using the features of BU-iLib.
