Newly hired faculty, non-teaching staff undergoes GAD 101

As part of the annual National Women’s Month Celebration, the Bicol University (BU) Human Resource Management Office and BU Center for Gender and Development (CGAD) spearheaded a Gender and Development (GAD) event dubbed “GAD 101 for Newly Hired Faculty and Non-Teaching Personnel of BU” on March 24, 2017 at AVP Function Hall, Legazpi City.

The invited speakers in the said forum were Dr. Ma. Elaine Salazar, BU-CGAD Director talked about “Understanding BU Gender and Development; Dr. Dolores Laguilles, BU-CSSP Professor shared her insights on gender sensitivity with the topic “Me, Myself and My Gender”; while Atty. Norly Reyes, BU Chief Administrative Officer, shared his expertise on the laws protecting women particularly the RA 9710 or An Act Providing for Magna Carta for Women. Joshua Pacleta/OP
