CS prof’s research plums best paper in SoKor

A professor from Bicol University College of Science made a splash in the international research scene as his research was proclaimed best paper during the 2nd International Conference on Electric Vehicle, Smart Grid and Information Technology (ICEST 2017) held on March 21-23, 2017 at Jeju International Convention Center (ICC Jeju), South Korea.

The winning study on "New OTP Algorithm approach Based on Table Pattern Sequence Schedule" by Benedicto Balilo, Computer Science and Information Technology Professor, was co-authored with Dr. Ruji Medina, Dr. Bobby Gerardo and Dr. Yung-Cheol Byun.

Bailo underwent the CHED Faculty Development Scholar II in the program Doctor in Information Technology at Technological Institute of the Philippines in Quezon City. His doctorate degree focuses on information security and authentication.

The conference gathered scientists, engineers, computer users, and students to exchange and share their experiences, new ideas, and research results about all aspects of theory, applications and tools of EV, smart-grid, renewable energy, eco-technology, computer and information science. The participants also discussed the practical challenges encountered and solutions adapted.

The said international event was co-hosted by Jeju National University and International Electric Vehicle Expo.
