4 BU grads dominate 2017 Midwife Licensure Exam

Adding to the roster of topnotchers in the institution, four Bicol University (BU) graduates reached sky-high after they placed in the top 10 passers in the April 2017 Midwife Licensure Examination (MLE).

Donna Mae Imperial of BU Tabaco Campus (TC) ranked second in the national exam with an outstanding rating of 90.80%. Edgar Philip Patriarca placed fourth with a score of 90.15% while Darlene Grace Ranera of Polangui Campus landed in the fifth place with 89.90%. Rounding up the top 10 is TC’s Kate Cabataña in rank nine who scored 88.80%.

Bicol University attained an over-all passing rate of 100% with 101 passers. The Professional Regulation Commission announced that 965 out of 2194 passed the MLE.

On the other hand, it can be noted that in the April 2016 MLE, Mary Reciel Bernarte also a BU graduate, capped the second spot with a rating of 90%. Along with Bernarte were Deanna Corinne Serrano and Maria Teresa Barrios who managed to place 3rd and 8th in the April 2016 MLE.

Meanwhile, 13 Bicolanos lorded over the top 10 passers in the said exam with only two topnotchers from other province.
