Three Bicol University (BU) graduates qualified as finalists from the Bicol Region for the TOSP Foundation’s 56th Search for Ten Outstanding Students of the Philippines (TOSP).
Christianne Romano, Patrick Anthony Nota, and John Cyril Yee are among the 11 finalists of the Bicol region for the 2017 TOSP.
Romano graduated from BU College of Education’s BSED in English program. Nota finished his BS in Mining Engineering at BU College of Engineering while Yee attained his degree in Journalism at BU College of Arts and Letters.
Likewise, Romano was the former president of BUCE’s College Student Council, Nota served as the Chairperson and Student Regent of the University Student Council last academic year while Yee worked as the Managing Editor of Budyong, the official Student Publication of BUCAL.
The three BU graduates have exemplified outstanding performance both in their academic, and co - and extra-curricular activities.
Achored on R.A. 7722 or “Higher Education Act of 1994”, the TOSP, as an awards program, honors the country’s most notable students at the Malacañan Palace and by the President of the Republic. In recognizing the best, the Program seeks graduating college students who not only excel academically, but also dedicate themselves as exceptional leaders and community servants in order to make a difference in their respective circles.
