  • A University for Humanity characterized by

productive scholarship, transformative leadership, collaborative service, and distinctive character for sustainable societies

Dr. Baby Boy Benjamin D. Nebres III

SUC President IV

Message From the SUC President

My dear Bicol University Family:

When I think of Bicol University’s future for the next 20-25 years, we always think of our graduates and how their respective skills can be harnessed in the global arena.

When I think of Bicol University as an institution, in the next 20-25 years, I think of a sound and highly capable academic partner of various industries as we continuously upgrade and offer globally recognized academic programs, and introduce short-term and diploma courses.

When I think of Bicol University as a University for Humanity, I think of the foremost welfare of each human resource – as we integrate holistic wellness practices and programs in every college, unit, and offices. I think of a future that is highly competitive in terms of compensation and benefits across levels.

But to do this, you all need to dream BIG with me, this is a BIG dream for the continuing advocacy for the fulfillment of the Sustainable Development Goals and the necessity to continuously train ourselves to set our minds on futures thinking as a means of enhancing our strategic foresight.

Huli man ta, an pre-registration bako ibig sabihon awtomatikong enrollment.

𝘷𝘪𝘢 𝘉𝘜 𝘊𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘗𝘶𝘣𝘭𝘪𝘤 𝘙𝘦𝘭𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘖𝘧𝘧𝘪𝘤𝘦

All incoming first-years are now required to pre-register online, either Qualified, Waitlisted, and Below Quota applicants.

On May 27-31, 2024, Qualified applicants must pre-register simultaneously in their respective colleges/departments on their assigned dates.

Their unfilled slots will be automatically awarded to Waitlisted applicants based on rank-listed criteria and course preference, which will be on June 3-7, 2024.

However, pre-registration does not mean automatic enrollment. For all Qualified and Waitlisted applicants who will not be able to pre-register within the announced dates, but appear during the enrollment period, they may still be accommodated, based on the availability of slots.

Below Quota applicants will fill up available slots, subject to the college-specific requirements on June 18-21, 2024. In addition, a Below Quota screening process for all colleges and units will be on June 10-14, 2024. Official announcements will also be made by the Admissions Office, through the Communication and Public Relations Office.

For open slots left by the Waitlisted applicants, Below-Quota chancers may receive priority given that (1) their first choice in BUCET is an Open Course and their composite rating qualifies, or (2) they have indicated another course program as their first choice, but will be based on the compliance of the college/unit.

Those applicants with a Failed rating will no longer be eligible to enroll in any course program in all colleges and units of the university. / 𝘷𝘪𝘢 𝘉𝘜 𝘊𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘗𝘶𝘣𝘭𝘪𝘤 𝘙𝘦𝘭𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘖𝘧𝘧𝘪𝘤𝘦
