3 BU student-athletes bag award in regional archery
Four BUeño archers competed and won awards in the first-ever Bicol Indoor Archery Tournament held at the Freedom Sports Complex, Pili, Camarines Sur from February 26 to 28, 2022.
As one of the participating schools in the region, Bicol University sent four participants, three of which won awards. They are: Eurie C. Diamante from the Institute of Physical Education Sports and Recreation (IPESR), Mc Andrei D. Delos Angeles from the College of Engineering (CENG), Aivahn Kim R. Orolfo from the College of Agriculture and Forestry (CAF).
Diamante bagged four golds in the 1st and 2nd Round of Men’s Category, Single FITA over-all, and Olympic Round Individual.
On the other hand, Delos Angeles won two silvers in the 1st round of Men’s Category and Single FITA overall while bronze in the 2nd round of Men’s Category.
Meanwhile, Orolfo achieved one silver in the Olympic Round Individual and one bronze in the Single FITA overall category.
John Paul B. Madrideo from the College of Industrial Technology also competed in the tournament.
Other participating schools were the Camarines Sur Sports Academy, Ateneo de Naga University, University of Santo-Tomas – Legazpi, and Pio Duran National High School.
