To conduct a thorough monitoring and inspection of its Doctor of Medicine program, the Professional Regulation Commission – Board of Medicine (PRC-BOM) visited Bicol University College of Medicine (BUCM) on July 25, 2023. 

The PRC-BOM delegation, represented by Dr. Efren C. Laxamana and Dr. Joanna V. Remo, engaged in an in-depth discussion with the BUCM administration, headed by its Dean, Dr. Ofelia S. Sy, joined by BU President Dr. Baby Boy Benjamin D. Nebres III, and the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Ma. Julieta B. Borres. 

In her Facebook post, Dr. Sy expressed her appreciation for the support and encouragement of the PRC-BOM and BU administration. 

“It was a developmental and cordial visit. We got nothing but inspiring support and kindness from the BOM,” she wrote.
