BUeños, Bikolanos dominate the 6th Sakura Science Team in Japan

Over the years, the continuing collaboration between Bicol University and Kochi University of Japan have produced numerous student and faculty exchange activities. Another noteworthy event produced by the said partnership is this year's ‘Sakura Science Exchange Program', hosted by Kochi University's Graduate School of Kuroshio Science and sponsored by the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JSTA), where the sixth (6th) batch of participants was organized from September 29 to October 5, 2019.

Two BUTC fisheries researches win acclaim in Regional Confab

Earning another victory for the university in the field of research, two research work from the Bicol University Tabaco Campus’ (BUTC) Fisheries Department were won recognition during their participation in the 5th Regional Fisheries Research Development and Extension (BIFIRDEN) Symposium and Forum, held in Ragay National Agricultural and Fisheries School in Liboro, Ragay Camarines Sur last October 02 and 03.

DOST-PCAARRD and BU inaugurate new Tissue Culture Lab

To serve as a hub for innovative research in agricultural development, the Department of Science and Technology's Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic, and Natural Resources Research and Development (DOST-PCAARRD) and Bicol University's College of Agriculture and Forestry (BUCAF) inaugurated their new Tissue Culture Laboratory Building in Guinobatan, Albay last September 26.
