Prof. Zoilo of BUEMD is UNESCO Outstanding Educator 2018

Professor Rowena Fajardo Zoilo, Associate Professor V of Bicol University (BU), was adjudged Outstanding Educator 2018 of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). The National Association of UNESCO Clubs of the Philippines (NAUCP), Inc. presented the award during the 2018 International Assembly of Youth for UNESCO held on September 8, 2018 at the Icon Hotel, Timog Avenue, Quezon City.

Dr. Serafin A. Arviola Jr., NAUCP Chairman, announced in a letter that Prof. Zoilo was unanimously chosen by the Board to be this year’s awardee because of her contribution to the attainment of UNESCO’s goals and the country’s Sustainable Development Goals.

Every year, NAUCP accepts nominations for outstanding young professionals, educators and local government units to acknowledge their individual contributions and recognize their influence in their respective institutions and communities. Zoilo heads the Coordination, Linkages and Other Support Services of the BU Extension Management Division.

Gerard Martin Magayanes and Alona Marjalino of the BU College of Education Integrated Laboratory School High School Department also got the UNESCO Youth Leaders award. (Primalou Imperial-BUEMD)
