AACCUP grants Level IV re-accreditation to BUCE's BEED ProgramFriday March 22,2019
The Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines, Inc. (AACCUP) has awarded the College of Education’s Bachelor of Elementary Education Program with a level IV Re-accreditation during its 32nd National Conference on March 8, 2019 at the Century Park Hotel, Malate, Manila.
BUCE has submitted its BEED program for accreditation in November 2015 but it was only recently that the result has been released. According to Dr. Lorna M. Miña, Dean of the College of Education, this recognition indicates the said program’s quality as measured in terms of BUCE’s performance in the licensure examination for teachers (LET), the research involvement of its faculty members, the impact of its extension programs and the active international linkages and collaborations the College has forged.
The level IV status is the highest distinction that can be granted by AACCUP to a degree program being evaluated. Dr. Miña hopes that BUCE, being one of the centers of excellence in teacher education in the Bicol region, can maintain this prestigious recognition and make its other programs qualify for the same award.
