Organized by BU’s Center for Teaching Excellence (CTE), the program lauded the sacrifices and dedication of teachers, particularly those who graduated from BU that rendered outstanding services as educators.
The program began with a message from BU’s Vice-President for Academic Affairs (VPAA) Dr. Helen Llenaresas. “The teaching profession is stressful and demanding, that is why we all should learn to value our teachers who contributed much in molding every generation,” stated BU President Dr. Arnulfo Mascariñas in his keynote address. The university president recognized the importance of teachers, especially in today’s world, relating to his experiences as he himself was a teacher.

Afterwards, BU-CTE Director Dr. Rebecca Rosario Bercasio introduced the event’s guests of honor, teachers who are BU alumni who served as exemplary teachers. They are Maria Salve Rosal of Libon Agro-industrial High School, Maria Cyrene Reyes of Elrod Elementary School (Texas, USA), Russel Arnaldo of the Philippine Military Academy (PMA), Domingo Tuazon of Marcial O.
