BUCE travels to Catanduanes to teach Curriculum Quality AuditWednesday May 22,2019
The Bicol University College of Education (BUCE), headed by its Dean Dr. Lorna M. Miña, conducted a training on Curriculum Quality Audit to the faculty of Catanduanes State University’s College of Education, in Virac, Catanduanes last May 16 and 17.
Mindful of its role as a center of excellence in teacher education, BUCE initiated the said activity in line with the goal of leading and assisting other teacher education institutes (TEI) in the region in their pursuit of quality teacher education.
The training sought to familiarize the participants with the Currculum Quality Audit and its processes and importance in curriculum development, as well as familiarization on the Philippine Professional Standards for Teachers with emphasis on its domains, strands, and the Beginning Teacher Indicators. It was also aimed at capacitating the teachers with the skills on the processes of Curriculum Audit.
Included in training team for the activity are BU Alumni Relations Office (ARO) Director Dr. Rosana Madrona and BUCE’s ExtensionCoordinator Prof. Maria Cecilia P. Aguilar. (BU-ARO)
