BU student handbook undergoes revision

To examine and amend the existing student handbook, taking into account new and additional provisions in light of the new normal, the Bicol University Handbook underwent a revision process in preparation for its 2022 edition.

A committee was created under Administrative Order 183 s. 2022, chaired by Prof. Jocelyn E. Serrano, College of Science Dean. The revision will take into account new and additional provisions, as well as improve coherence and inclusivity with emphasis on the new normal setting in the university.

The two-day meeting revisited parts II to IV of the BU Student Handbook on (a) admission, registration, and related matters; (b) academic policies, procedures, and programs; and (c) financial information. For the parts V to IX, this covered (a) student affairs and services; (b) rules and regulation on student conduct and discipline; (c) student organizations; and (d) student related university policies and procedures.

Before the start of a new academic year, the committee will attempt to complete and publish the revision the new handbook.

The committee is co-chaired by Dr. Baby Boy Benjamin D. Nebres III and Atty. Daryl A. Redoblado, Prof. Jazzlyn T. Imperial as secretariat, and the following as members: Dr. Hennie P. Lomibao, Dr. Lany L. Maceda, Dr. Ana Linda G. Marcellana, Glenda Aurora S. Julianda, Dr. Viola L. Amano, Julius Caesar M. Martinez, Prof. Tania L. Añonuevo, and Rolly S. Gonzales.
